Tobacco – Ripe & Majestic (Instrumental Rarities & Unreleased Beats)

Tobacco releases “Ripe & Majestic”, a new album of rare instrumentals and unreleased tracks recorded between 2007 and 2017.
These include instrumental versions of tracks by Beans, the instrumentals of remixes of people such as Sole, The Go Team, Dirty Ghosts and other unused beats and outtakes.
All the tracks on offer are unmistakably Tobacco, they have his signature sound, but all work perfectly as stand alone instrumental tracks. This is heavy, grinding, sometimes brutal electronic beat music, taking in influence from psychedlia, indie rock, hip hop and god knows what else, but it works and works well.
Out August 25th Red Cult Records.

Pete Sasqwax & Madslo – ADSR

Pete Sasqwax and Madslo have joined forces to create a new cassette release, “ADSR”. Out now on I Had An Accident records, each producer takes 20 minutes to show case their own brands of hard hitting, dirty, dusty, heavy as hell beats. In both cases, the joint tape is some of the producers best work to date. Truly eerie, atmospheric, head nodding and entertaining.

DJ Pnutz – 16 Psyche

Get ready for the latest terrestrial album from Dj Pnutz on Bulabeats Records, “16 Psyche”. “16 Psyche” introduces 17 brand new radio friendly hip-hop and breakbeat instrumentals with out of this world interludes and retro sci-fi sound bytes. Often compared to the production styles of The Avalanches and Dj Shadow, Dj Pnutz new album “16 Psyche” offers an uptempo riff on instrumental beat albums while taking the listener on a cosmic funk journey through the galaxy.
“16 Psyche” is a definite must for all breakbeat fans, keeping the head nodders and dance floors happy. Pnutz has crafted a fun and funky album that gets dark at times, but in the best possible way. One thing is for sure she definitely knows her heavy hard hitting drums!

Will C – Bless The Beats & Children

Five years ago, Will C. demonstrated his production chops on “Adieu Or Die,” reconfiguring The Beach Boys’ powerful catalogue into a dreamlike, critically-acclaimed beat tape. But what prompted this latest left-field musical voyage? Will C. gives his take on all the recent madness…
“A cloud of mystery forever shrouds the Carpenters. Beneath a phenomenal string of radio-friendly hit singles was a dark side perhaps more human and relatable than their magnificently polished sound let listeners on to believe. At a time when the screeching guitars of Led Zeppelin dominated the accepted soundscape of rock, Karen Carpenter’s deeply-resonant-with-the-soul contralto vocal performances soaring atop brother Richard’s highly inventive arranging skills tugged at a generation’s heartstrings in a way that was depressingly uncool to admit to peers.
For years now, crate diggers have passed over the Carpenters for a barrage of seemingly more potent beat making source material. But slowly, the tide has been turning. The tragedy of Karen Carpenter’s ultimate demise in her quest to reach true happiness touches upon our collective quiet desperation, and those heavenly harmonies become impossible to ignore. With the release of ‘Bless The Beats & Children,’ may the image makeover of the once considered goody-two-shoes Carpenters be complete and the family band forever be seen as rough, rugged, and raw.

Tobacco – Got Wet In The Bomb Shelter

Yes the part man part Black Moth noise merchant, Tobacco is back with a single, “Got Wet In The Bomb Shelter”. If you have liked Tobacco’s previous outings, or Black Moth Super Rainbow (his other project), you will definitely like the new single. Heavy electronic beats with nasty, dirty baselines, all kept all within the realm of psychedelic weirdness. It’s good, check it out!

Kill Billionaires – Bomb Billionaires

So, I know virtually nothing about this video. I was sent it with the message, “I’m a guy in other groups who just started an anonymous new solo project called Kill Billionaires. Here’s some kinda out music played live. I hope you like it!”
Well I did, so here it is…
