Shinobi Cuts presents the latest instalment of their highly entertaining remix chain albums, “Cliff Thornburn”. The premise is one artists submits a track, in this case Pete Sasqwax, it then gets passed to the next artists to remix, then to the next to remix the remix and so on. Walter Gross – Super Basic

Walter Gross returns with a new beat tape that pull on all his influences to create an unique, left of centre, experimental album.
“Super Basic” ranges from hard hitting, distorted beats to off kilter electronica and ambient noise. At times I’m reminded of fellow beat creator Al Lover, with the woozey wash of sounds on offer. It definitely makes for interesting listening.
The limited edition cassette and digital are released on May 23rd and we suggest you seek it out!

Walter Gross – Vestige

Experimental noise merchant Walter Gross has just released his new album, “Vestige”. Known for his instrumental soundscapes and DIY approach, the new album see’s Gross treading new ground, incorporating more eerie and distorted vocals into his music. This musical step forward evokes the industrial, post-punk sounds of Suicide, krautrock, shoegaze, experimental psychedelia, while still remaining firmly Gross’ own sound.
“Vestige” is out now on limited edition cassette and digital, a definite must for fans of interesting, uncompromising, experimental music.

They will also be part of the official compilation volumes to be released later this year.

Buddy Peace – Whole House Freeze

Beat master Bubuddyddy Peace is back with a brand new EP, “Whole House Freeze”. Consisting of 11 tracks in total, the EP is packed full of Buddy’s signature chunky beats and these are super chunky! There is a real bluesy feel to the tracks, cutting up roaring vocals and raw guitar licks, over bone rattling drums, this is definitely one of our favourite Buddy Peace releases in awhile.
All fans of Mr Peace’s previous work will love this, as will all beats and breaks fans. “Whole House Freeze” is up now for Name Your Price release so you have no excuse not to have this in your lives!
