Youth:Kill – A Hunters Moon

Walter Gross and rapper K-The-I??? come together on as Youth:Kill with “A Hunters Moon” to create a unique EP that pushes the boundaries of hip hop music. Gross provides the music, which is a harsh mix of industrial noise, metallic beats and distorted baselines, while K-the-I??? rhymes furiously, fitting in where ever he can, taking on any off kilter beat and laying into it hard. This is not easy listening, but it’s great to hear people out there still trying to push hip hop in different directions and not afraid of experimenting.

Walter Gross – Super Basic

Walter Gross returns with a new beat tape that pull on all his influences to create an unique, left of centre, experimental album.
“Super Basic” ranges from hard hitting, distorted beats to off kilter electronica and ambient noise. At times I’m reminded of fellow beat creator Al Lover, with the woozey wash of sounds on offer. It definitely makes for interesting listening.
The limited edition cassette and digital are released on May 23rd and we suggest you seek it out!

Walter Gross – Vestige

Experimental noise merchant Walter Gross has just released his new album, “Vestige”. Known for his instrumental soundscapes and DIY approach, the new album see’s Gross treading new ground, incorporating more eerie and distorted vocals into his music. This musical step forward evokes the industrial, post-punk sounds of Suicide, krautrock, shoegaze, experimental psychedelia, while still remaining firmly Gross’ own sound.
“Vestige” is out now on limited edition cassette and digital, a definite must for fans of interesting, uncompromising, experimental music.
